Caramel Apple Board

The caramel apple board is a delicious crowd pleaser, great for Halloween or fall gatherings! It’s a custom apple dipping board set with gooey caramel, chocolate, white chocolate sauce and crunchy tasty toppings.

Ingredients

  • Granny smith apples (Alternative to apples; long pretzel sticks)

For the Sauce:

  • Werthers caramel squares
  • Chocolate chips
  • White chocolate chip
  • Butter

Toppings:

  • Peanuts
  • Mini M and M’s
  • Recess pieces
  • Candy corns
  • Coconut flakes
  • Crushed oreos
  • Crushed graham crackers
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Crushed pretzels

Equipment:

  • Muffin tray
  • Crock pot or microwave
  • Cupcake liners
  • Skewers

To Assemble:

Step 1: Wash and slice your apples. Then place a wooden skewer in each apple slice and set aside.

Step 2: Heat your crockpot. Place the caramel squares, chocolate chips and white chocolate chips in separate mason jars. Place the mason jars in the warm crockpot until they are all melted and make a creamy sauce.

Step 3: Line the muffin tray with the cupcake liners. Then fill every muffin cup with the different toppings you chose to use.

Step 4: Lastly, put it all together! Place the apples on a cutting board next to the toppings muffin tray directly next to the crockpot.

Step 5: Enjoy by dipping your apple skewer in one of the three sauces or a combination! Then dip into your chosen toppings. Enjoy the different flavourful customizations!

Acorn Treats

Acorn treats are very simple and are adorable, plus, they’re delicious for all ages!

Ingredients:

  • Mini nutter butters
  • Hershey kisses (dark chocolate is recommended)
  • Mini chocolate chips

To assemble:

Step 1: Unwrap the hershey kisses

Step 2: In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. Add as many chocolate chips to the equivalent of how many acorn treats you’re making. The melted chocolate will act as your glue.

Step 3: Spread the melted chocolate on the flat side of the vanilla wafer using a knife, popsicle stick, etc. Stick it to the flat side of the Hershey Kiss and hold it for a few seconds. (if the chocolate is very liquidy, let it cool for a few minutes). Set the acorn on a baking sheet or plate until the chocolate sets, or place in the refrigerator to speed it up.

Step 4: Once the vanilla wafer and hershey kiss are glued tightly, warm the melted chocolate if it has hardened. Using a toothpick or a popsicle stick, make the stem of the acorn by “glueing”  a chocolate chip to the rounded side of the vanilla wafer. Allow it to cool and harden as in the 1st step.

Step 5: Store the acorns in an airtight container, and then they’re ready to enjoy!
