The Noe Cross Country teams have consistently been ranked among the best in Kentucky for many years, winning a girls’ state championship two years ago. This year’s team is young, but off to a good start. They have completed in one JCPS meet, winning it, the Fleet Feet Relays, in which several runners placed in the top 10, and Tiger Run this past Saturday, one of the largest and most prestigious races in this region.
At Tiger Run, hosted by St. Xavier, the team had to run as a club, the Louisville Jackalopes, since JCPS does not permit its Middle Schools to compete at events hosted by local Catholic High Schools due to a boycott. However, the girls’ team was third overall and the boys were 5th, with many athletes winning medals.
