Inside FCA

Caden Green, 8th Grade Editor-In-Chief

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets 8:00-8:30 a.m. every Tuesday morning in Rebecca Spalding’s room (125).

Originally introduced to Noe two years ago by student Addison Fogle, the club is now led by guest speaker Daniel Smith. The mission of FCA is to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through the platform of sports. However, the club emphasizes that you don’t have to be an athlete or a Christian to participate.

“Even if you don’t go to Church every Sunday or pray every night, it doesn’t really matter,” said Clara McGarvey, a first-year attendee. “FCA is a very welcoming environment where the people and community make it a fun way to spend your Tuesday morning.”

To start the morning off with high-energy, Smith leads a small activity. After the game, they transition into discussion. The group examines Bible verses or stories, with students sharing how these messages connect to their personal lives.

Lastly, the meeting concludes with a time for students to share personal prayers and pitch in prayer requests while the group joins hands.

The session ends at 8:30 a.m. when the bell dismisses students to their lockers.

To continue growing the community, members are encouraged to bring a new friend each week to experience and spread the gospel.
