When you gotta go, go with a plan

LOUISVILLE, AUGUST 24 – There has been a rush of students gathering at the restrooms during each passing period. There are two bathrooms for each gender, one on each floor, for more than 1,100 students.
The passing periods have been hectic for those who need to use the restrooms. Lines have been down and around the corner at the girls’ restroom. Assistant Principal Michael Wade said, “Early in the school year, they can get chaotic. But it’ll get faster as kids get used to it.” As of right now, using the restrooms have been pretty stressful for some students.
Times to avoid lengthy lines are “after first period, after lunches are over, and fourth period break,” Wade said.
Student Harper Herndon shared a couple tips on how to avoid those crazy lines. She said, “It helps if you don’t like, really, stop and talk in the hallway. You just go straight to the bathroom, and yeah, you really don’t have to wait in the line as long.”
As long as you listen to what Herndon said, you’ll get in and out within the passing period.
If you still haven’t found where the bathrooms are, Wade said, “If you look at the floor, you’ll notice on team area there’s white tiles, and then outside team areas there’s brown speckled tiles and so the restrooms are located where the brown tiles are.”
