Cougars record 6th shutout of season; now 8-0
By Olivia Corfman, The Noetice
The Noe Cougars varsity football team defeated the Knight Bobcats 28–0 in a strong performance on both offense and defense. The Cougars scored four touchdowns while keeping the Bobcats from scoring the entire game.
Elliot Fields led the offense with three touchdowns, while Kaiden Petty Grinter scored another touchdown to help the Cougars secure the win. The offense made big plays throughout the game and continued to put points on the board.
The Cougars’ defense also had a great game. Jairius Ardis, Calvin Roberson, and Elliot Fields made some great tackles, while Ahrazi Pierre and Micah Dandy dominated the line of scrimmage. The defense worked together to keep the Bobcats scoreless and protect the Cougars’ lead.
The 28–0 win was the Cougars’ sixth shutout of the season, who will look to keep playing well in their next game on Oct. 31 at Doss High School. They will take an undefeated record into their next playoff game against JCTMS.
