Funds will be used toward team incentives

LOUISVILLE, AUG. 21, 2026 – On Oct. 6-9, there will be a chance to design a T-shirt for a fundraiser which will raise money for the sixth-grade Achievers.
Emily Singleton is in charge of the fundraiser and designing the T-shirts, and she wants to raise money so the Achievers can do fun stuff and can have some merchandise.
“We want to like, spend the money on you all and have a fun year,” said Singleton.
Before the end of the grading period, Singleton said if students aren’t missing work, they could come to her class and work on a T-shirt design. The week before the end of the grading period will be called “Cougar Week.” It has the same name as a week-long PTSA fundraiser that starts soon.
The T-shirts will be voted on by the team and the top options will be presented on Oct. 9. The fundraiser will start around Oct. 14th, depending on when the PTSA is available. Singleton said she will have a date for the time window students can place orders for the T-shirts the week of designing the tees.
Once the top options are presented, Singleton said that the PTSA will help make the T-shirts. She also said the goal of the fundraiser is $350.
Singleton said the money may be used for Achievers’ field trips, incentives forJessica Boston’s room, and Achievers end of the year parties. She also said they have used the money for an ice cream truck to come when the Achievers had a day outside.
